I liked this photo the best. It is a clementine in the snow at work. I like that there is a third person perspective and that, although the focus is the clementine (because it stands out in color), there are other things happening in the photo. I also like the fact that the trees in the background clearly depict a northern tree line even though it almost looks as though the clementine fell from one of these trees.
I also liked this photo of the clementine. It almost looks like the clementine is alive and has a viewpoint of its own. I know this sounds odd, but I think it is kind-of cool; a clementine in the snow, gazing at something in the distance.
Ammanda, I liked your second photo. You could see the "skin" of the clementine and the color is bright compared to the white of the snow. Neat perspective.
ReplyDeleteThe clementine is longing for the sunshine of home, it looks so lost and alone. It does make me think of the b&w photos where there is only one element in color.
ReplyDeleteI like the first photo because of all of the things in the picture, but like you said because of the color of the clementine it is still obvious what the focus is. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteI like the composition of the first picture. My only suggestion is to play with the exposure and contrast of it; making it so that the orange of the clementine pops against the dark trees and white snow.

the spot of color in the first one is a nice contrast to the intricate b&w of the background. I too wish there was more contrast, whiter whites, and a variety of grays, instead of dark.
