Clone, Text and Paint

This is my dog Murray on the left and a friend's dog Buddy.  I manipulated this photo using the clone tool for their extra eyes.  Then I created a text box and put my initials in the lower right hand corner.  Originally I wanted to create a watermark, but I had difficulty and after playing with it for at least an hour, decided I that I like it the way it is in black.  Using the pencil tool, I drew in some toenails and ear tafts to finish off the alien look.

  1. Making text a watermark is all about opacity. Did you find the opacity slider? Are you using GIMP or PS?

  2. Lisa, I did find the opacity slider and could not get it to work for me? I also played with the color settings to try and make the text gray like in the online tutorial but nothing seemed to work for me? I really don't know what I was doing wrong. I am using GIMP.

  3. What browser are you using? Sometimes Internet Explorer just doesn't work with some online tools. Firefox is a better bet.
